The movie was to release at the end of December. But the director changed the date on various reasons. At least the movie will see its release on January 25, Farooki confirmed.

Farooki also informed that a team of the movie, featuring the cast of the film including Tisha, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mosarraf Karim will travel across the country to campaign the film.

‘Television’ is a joint co-production of Bangladesh and Germany. ‘Television’ is a satire about a village elder’s fight against the arrival of the titular electronic device in rural Bangladesh. The movie is a conflict between an imaginary world and a real world.

Anisul Hoque and Mostofa Sarwar Farooki jointly wrote the script of the movie. ‘Television’ has been produced by Chhabial, in association with multiplex theatre Star Cineplex and Mogador film of Germany.

‘Television’ is the fourth film of Farooki, which was the curtain-wrapper of the 17th Busan International Film Festival. “We have done all the preparation. Now we are waiting to show the film to the audience. The movie will be released on 25 January if everything goes well,” he added.

Recently, ‘Television’ won ‘Special Jury Award’ at the 9th Dubai International Film Festival, which was held at the Madinat Jumeriah Complex in Dubai.
