Avocados are used in savoury dishes, too. Avocado is a common fruit in the Philippines and you will always find a tree in the neighborhood. So if you want a nutritious and refreshing drink, try avocado milkshake. Simply mash it up with condensed milk, sugar and crushed ice, it is a great summer dessert!
Botanically, avocados are considered fruit but in the kitchen it is considered both. I’ve used and I’ve seen avocados in different culinary applications like sandwiches, salads, dips, and shakes. Shakes? Yes, avocado milkshake or any fruit shake is better than sodas. Of course, fruit juices are nutritious in the same way, too.

- 3 medium ripe Avocados
- 2 scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
- 3/4 cup Condensed Milk
- 3 cups Ice Cubes
- 1 Cup Milk
- Sugar to taste (Optional)
- 1/2 cup cooked pearl sago (optional)
- Place ice cubes, milk, condensed milk, ice cream, and avocados in the blender.
- Blend until all ingredients are smooth.
- Add sugar or more condensed milk to taste.
- Pour in tall glasses, add cooked sago then serve cold.

Tips: You can substitute avocado with melon, ripe mango, and ripe bananas. Additionally you can add young coconut strips to the mixture. Pearl sago could be substituted with cooked gelatin.
